What is kept, and why.

Grounded Beside You is a sole trader business run by Goreti Gananca in Chichester, West Sussex. She is the data controller, which means she — one person — decides what is kept and why. You can reach her at hello@groundedbesideyou.co.uk.

When you use the enquiry form: your name, your email address, a phone number if you choose to give one, and whatever you write in the message. Nothing else is asked for and nothing is inferred about you.

If you go on to work with Goreti: the practical details needed to do that properly — where to meet you, what has been arranged, and the invoices. Notes are kept to a minimum, and only where they are useful to you.

To reply to you, to arrange the time you have asked for, and to keep the financial records that HMRC requires. Your details are never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you. There is no marketing list you are quietly added to.

Enquiries that don’t go anywhere are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to work carried out and payments made are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. After that they are deleted.

What is said between you and Goreti stays between you. That includes when a relative made the introduction — they do not receive updates on what was discussed. The single exception is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, where she may need to involve someone appropriate; wherever possible she would tell you first.

Only the ordinary services needed to run a small business: email, and accounting software for invoices. They process the information on Goreti’s behalf and cannot use it for anything of their own. No one else has access.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not profile visitors. Standard server logs may record the usual technical information — the page requested, the time, and a truncated address — which is used only to keep the site working.

Under UK GDPR you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or ask for a copy. Write and say so; there is no form and no charge, and it will be done within one month. If you are unhappy with how it is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
